RTL recently completed a wind farm project in Sheffield, Vermont. Our involvement included renting a Demag CC2800-1 Narrow Track, a Link-Belt 248 lattice crawler, a Grove RT9130E rough terrain crane, a Grove RT890E rough terrain crane, and two Mantis 20010 hydraulic crawlers. RTL also serviced these cranes throughout the project. 

The mountainous terrain in and around Sheffield posed several topography challenges throughout the duration of the project. RTL helped resolve these issues by renting the customer a CC2800-1NT, as the narrow tracks on this large crawler were able to navigate the narrow roads. A Mantis 20010 hydraulic crawler was also used since its motility was well suited to the tight work spaces at the job site.

This wind farm is now equipped with 19 Clipper turbines, each with the capability of producing power for 4000 homes annually.
