Kobelco's First 300-Ton Crane Delivered

In December 2017, Kobelco Cranes announced their plans for a 300/350 ton crawler crane. The standard crane's max capacity is 300 tons and 350 metric tons with the Super Heavy Lift (SHL) specification. Recently, the first two units of the new CKS3000 lattice boom crawler crane was delivered to Guna Teguh Abadi Construction, based in Indonesia. The handover ceremony took place at the Kobelco factory in Japan and this brand new crane will get to work in April.

Executive officer of Kobelco, Shinsuke Izumi, commented "the CKS3000 is the largest model in Kobelco's multi-purpose crawler crane lineup while also offering large-sized model features as well. The business relationship between GTA Construction and Kobelco has been growing over the past 20 years and we look forward to a continuing business relationship."

Kobelco Boom Specs

The standard Kobelco model crane boasts a whopping 295 feet and a maximum 255 feet combination. It also carries a 98-foot mixed jib and can take on capacities of nearly 190 tons with radius of 28 feet.

Crane Operator Information

Comfort and safety of the crane operator were serious considerations-as they should be. With much larger windows, the new crane offers better visibility for the crane operator. There's also a brand new load Moment Limiter monitor with a touch screen feature that helps eliminate confusion. These new cranes are intuitive, offer ease of use, and can save you time.

Jobsite Performance

Kobelco had a goal of "achieving maximum ease of operation" with this new crane, so its undercarriage has been reinforced and enhanced to take on the toughest job sites. Their hydraulic control system has been one of the most reliable in the market for years and the latest model is benefiting from that as well. Their free-fall winch option is available, as well, which is an excellent inclusion, depending on jobsite needs.
